Just saw it. Good fun and it looked right. Like a Godzilla movie should. The acting was good as well. Be prepared to speed read subtitles.

It wasn’t bad. I guess I didn’t know what to expect, but it wasn’t what I expected.

I am glad for the subtitles. Foreign language films should always be in their native language.

I knew they were going back to the suit and model method and I was happy about it.

I enjoyed how they portrayed the science and politics.

The only thing I read about that didn’t sound great was the fact the Godzilla is not really present for a lot of the movie. As far as the sequences that does involve Godzilla, was the rest of the movie worth them?

Godzilla is rarely in more than about 1/3 of any of the movies. A little goes a long way. I thought the rest of the movie went together well, aside from she the Americans showed up. That got pretty cartoony.

I understand. I was a big Godzilla fan when I was a kid and own about half the ones Toho did back in the day because. If it is close to those, that’s cool.

Monster looks a lot like the Toho original (we have the vinyl) - hope I get to see it on last day, the 18th.
